Agora presents Belval at the Home&Living

15 - 23 October 2016 at the Luxexpo

This year Agora, the company responsible for Belval, is to present the new city quarter at the "Home&Living" trade show.

Its stand is in Hall 9, which is dedicated to "National Housing Week" (stand C02). Along with a wide range of information on life and living at Belval, the stand will also include a model (scale 1:1000) and a touch screen with an interactive map of the quarter.

Agora has created a digital campaign with online advertisements and its own landing page with various videos on "Life and living" at Belval for the trade show.

AGORA marketing three Square Milie building plots

Allocation process started – deadline for applications: 15.11.2016

In line with the development of the quarter Belval, the development company AGORA has launched an allocation process for the marketing of three building plots in the sub-quarter Square Mile.

The allocation process is intended for teams of one (or more) contractor(s) and one (or more) architect(s). 

Interested parties are asked to send an email to csquareagora.lu and request the documents to state their interest and the conditions for the allocation process.

The application deadline for the process is 4 p.m. on 15 November 2016.


Agora presenting Belval at the Expo Real in Munich

This year’s main topic: office premises around the university

From 4-6 October, Agora will be providing information on the latest developments and projects at Belval on the community stand of the Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce.

The focus will be on new office premises primarily in the Square Mile with offices mainly around the university.

EXPO REAL is the biggest B2B trade fair for real estate and investment in Europe, with 1700 exhibitors presenting their offers for real estate and investment on its 64,000 m². At approx. 80 symposia, conferences and round tables, some 400 speakers will be discussing current trends and innovations in the real estate, investment and financial markets. This year the event organisers are expecting in the region of 38,000 visitors.

New semester starts at the Uni.lu in Belval

Agora is supporting the “Welcome Party″ for students

As the new 2016/2017 semester kicks off, around 1000 students will arrive at Belval to join the faculties of law, economics and finance. Last autumn, 2000 students on the faculty of humanities relocated to the new Campus Belval. This puts the total number of students now at Belval at 3000, which means that from 19 September, around half of the students at the University of Luxembourg will be taught at Belval.

The university's traditional annual Welcome Week takes place from 15-19 September. Like last year, Agora is supporting the Office of Student Life with organising the Welcome Cocktail and Party in the Park "Um Belval".

A get-together of around 70 managers from companies and institutions, and business people

Agora, the development company responsible for Belval, issued invitations for Club Belval on 14 June, in order to discuss the latest developments at the location. Following various multimedia presentations, a walking lunch provided an opportunity for exchanges and to maintain contacts.

Club Belval has now become something of a tradition. Twice a year, decision-makers from companies and institutions meet here with business people to discuss current issues. The Club was brought to life 7 years ago by Agora. The aim was and is to provide the growing number of decision-makers at Belval with regular information on the latest developments so they can pass this information on to staff or clients as multipliers. The event is also intended as an opportunity for people to make new contacts.



Agora presents Belval at the “Realty” in Brussels

Luxembourg with its own stand at the Belgian real estate fair for the first time

Agora will be presenting the Belval project at the Belgian real estate fair “Realty” in Brussels from 24 – 26 May. At a stand shared with six other Luxembourg companies, Agora will be presenting current developments at Belval and the various investment opportunities there.

This annual real estate fair attracts increasing numbers of exhibitors and visitors every year, including more than 300 investors. For the first time, the 7 Luxembourg exhibitors – Agora, ING, DSM, Moreno, Zimmer & Partners, Drees & Sommer and INOWAI – are collaborating to present the Luxembourg real estate market.

Agora supports Vëlos Tour South 2016

27 May: start and finish in Belval

Agora is supporting the Vëlos Tour South 2016 organised by the syndicate PRO-SUD and the University of Luxembourg. The aim of this event is to increase awareness of the cycle path network in the southern region, and to promote gentle mobility and the project Vël’OK of Cigl Esch.

The ride will start at 12 noon with lunch at the Maison du Savoir. It then continues in guided groups over a variety of routes in various southern municipalities. People who wish to take part but don't own a bicycle can borrow a traditional or an electric version from VëlOK (no charge). In the evening there will be a small closing event at Belval for the cyclists and other interested parties.

Uni.lu – Second "Open Day" in Belval

Agora present with its own information stand

Last Saturday saw the annual university "Open Day", which took place on the new campus in Belval.

Around 3,500 visitors accepted the invitation to come along and find out more about the courses on offer, and all three of the university faculties presented their options. There were also guided tours of the Cité des Sciences.

As well as the municipality of Esch, the Fonds Belval, the Verkeiersverbond and many other partners, Agora, the development company responsible for Belval, was also present with an information stand.



Agora presents Belval at the MIPIM in Cannes

This year’s main topic: office real estate in the Square Mile

From 15-18 March, Agora will be providing information on the latest developments and projects at Belval on the community stand of the Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce R8.D14.

The presentation by the Belval development company will focus on new office premises in the Square Mile with offices mainly for companies who are involved with the university and in research.

The international real estate trade fair MIPIM brings together everyone involved in every area of real estate – offices, residential, retailer, health, sports, logistics and industry. This year, the organisers are expecting around 2,400 exhibitors and 21,000 visitors from some 90 countries.

Agora extends an invitation to Club Belval

Get-together in the Maison des Sciences Humaines

Around 70 representatives of companies, institutions, research centres and business people from Belval met at Club Belval on 25 November. This time, the event was held in the so-called “Blackbox” in the Maison des Sciences Humaines which was made available by the Fonds Belval. Agora had issued the invitation in order to discuss the current developments on Belval.

One focal theme concerned the Belval Innovation Campus with its university and private and public research facilities with presentations by Prof. Dr Georg Mein, Dean of the Faculty of Language Sciences and Literature, the Humanities, Art and Education Sciences at the University of Luxembourg.
Agora also presented current and future communication measures and campaigns for the new Innovation Campus. A subsequent Walking Lunch gave guests the opportunity to exchange information.
