Welcome week for more than 2200 students – with Agora
The countdown is running. Monday, 14 September sees the beginning of the first week at university for many students at the new campus at Belval. Preparations for the arrival of 2200 students in Belval are well underway. In recent weeks and months, the university administration and faculties for language sciences and literature, the humanities, art and educational sciences have taken up residence at Belval.
This year, the university's Office of Student Life has prepared an extensive welcome programme for all freshers and students with concerts, sporting events and parties. The event on will be opened on Monday, 14 September by university chancellor Rainer Klump in person, who will be welcoming students and staff of the university and the mayors of the municipalities Esch/Alzette and Sanem and inviting them to breakfast at the Maison du Savoir. The day will continue with guided tours by Agora of the new campus and a large garden party at Park "Um Belval", where Agora will be serving cocktails to students and staff.
The Campus Invasion Party starts at the Rockhal at 9pm on Friday, 18 September – and non-students are also also invited along. The events turns sporting on Saturday, 19 September with street basketball, volleyball, beach soccer and extreme bumper ball tournaments on the new Campus Belval.
